In June products were exported to the US (up by 43.1 per cent to $ 590.9 million), China (15.6 per cent to $88.3 million), Canada (19.5 per cent to $18.8 million) and Australia (28.8 per cent to $15.3 million).
The timber and forestry products processing industry must strive to achieve exports of at least US$9 billion this year and $12-23 billion by 2020, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has said.
The ongoing US-China trade war will greatly impact the structure of the world economy in the future, causing damage but also generating indirect opportunities for countries where the economy relies heavily on agricultural production like Viet Nam.
